Optimizing the Elements for a Successful Search Engine Optimization
The primary factor in reaching the top of the Search Engine results is the blending of your choice keywords into the site’s content and the many other elements of each page that the search engines look at when indexing the pages of your site.
Content - search engines love keyword rich content. The tricky part is to make the content “Search Engine Friendly” while still making sense to the Web site visitor; that is to contain the best possible keywords and yet maintain page usability.
Keywords just cannot be scattered on the pages; they need to be strategically placed into the content. Too many keywords may get your site banned from certain Search Engines and too few keywords may not achieve desired Search Engine rankings. At BaldyDog Search Strategies we know how to balance of the right amount of keywords and to write and edit search engine friendly copy.
Beyond content, there are other site elements that also help to increase search engine rankings.
Even though the “keyword” tag is not relevant in all engines, it still counts in some and, if written correctly, can help. More important than the keywords tag is the META “description” tag. Many search engines use this description to sort the results of the search engine query.
Search engines put a lot of weight in the site’s title, so it should contain some of the keywords that are relevant to the Web site. Also, alt tags are an important element in optimization. These are tags that give descriptions to the images on the Web site. It is important to include appropriate keywords in Alt tags, as search engine spiders cannot read images, but do read text.
These are just some of the page elements that the search engine spiders look at when indexing web sites. What we have found from years of experience with search engine optimization at BaldyDog Search Strategies – is the best approach to ranking high in the search engines for the best keyword phrases – is using a holisitic approach to search engine optimization. Every element of a single page should target only one to three keyword phrases. The links pointing to the optimized page should also use the same phrases that the page is being optimized for. All of this helps the search engines “know” what the page is about and where it should be placed in the search engine rankings.
At BaldyDog Search Strategies – we don’t consider ourselves successful until we make you successful.
